Summer, 2003
Shalom! I recently returned from a
wonderful Messianic Jewish Alliance conference, held at Messiah
College campus in Grantham, Pa. Where believers in Messiah from all
over the world gathered for a week filled with great teaching,
superb worship and praise, music, dance, recreation and good
old-fashioned schmoozing! This was my (gulp) 29th conference, my
first being in 1973 in Florida. AS always, it was great to see old
friends, and meet new ones!!! For more information about the

Just before heading off to the conference, I
spent a week in Nashville recording my second CD, titled "ABIDE".
Working with Margaret Becker was an awesome experience. Her talents
as producer, musician and vocalist were a treat to experience and I
am grateful to have had the opportunity to work under her sensitive
guidance and talent!!! Yackland Studio owner and engineer Steve
Leiweke was equally as gifted and talented both on the board and on
that sweet Martin guitar!! I am also indebted to Steve and his wife
Lauri for making their home MY home while I recorded…and for the
generous use of their computer to satisfy my daily need to get
online. Final mixes and mastering are being done as I write this!!!

On August 23rd, I will be leaving to minister
in Ukraine with Kol Simcha. My husband and two children are also
going and will be involved in the Hear O Israel outreach Festival of
Music and Dance. The actual festival concerts are on August 29-31 in
L'viv, Ukraine. The days prior to the festival are spent on the
streets singing and sharing about the Lord and blanketing the city
with invitations to the free festival. Did you know that YOU could
be involved in this festival even if you can't physically be there?
Your prayers will accomplish much and help those of us who are there
to overcome any obstacles that may arise. Having been to both
Ukraine and Russia with past festivals, I know that the enemy will
be busier than ever trying to tear down and hamper the work of God
in Ukraine. Here is a prayer list so you can be very specific! All
of us appreciate the spiritual support of our "family" in Messiah!!!
We couldn't do what we do without the Lord and YOU!!!
Starting even now, please pray:
- For travel safety-groups are
leaving from Washington, DC, NY and Philadelphia and there are
numerous flight connections and a six-hour bus ride to get to
L'viv! We need strength! And safety while in the city of L'viv.
- Health…this is a biggie! It's a
heavy area of attack. Please keep this front and foremost in your
prayers!
- No resistance to the festival
from Government officials or from opposing factions.
- For the concerts themselves, no
technical problems, no onsite security problems and for the Spirit
of God to permeate the stadium and touch the hearts of all who
come…
- And, last, but definitely not least, for
the salvation of the people…for the Jewish population to attend
the concerts and receive Messiah and for the salvation of all!!!
